4-year-old Jack Robinson was born in Hampshire, England, but heartbreakingly he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at a very early age. Knowing his time on Earth would be short he developed a bucket list of things he’d like to do before passing. His final wish could only be fulfilled recently though, when his family and friends said goodbye to him at his funeral. You see, the last item on his bucket list was to have a Star Wars themed funeral.

The 4-year-old’s parents, Terence and Marie Robinson, were determined to celebrate their son’s life and passions by making his last wish come true.
His carriage was covered with floral tributes, including one reading ‘Jedi’ and wreaths in the shape of a lightsaber, Yoda and R2-D2. Fellow Star Wars lovers who heard about the boy’s wish came dressed as Stormtroopers to give him a guard of honor.
Inside the church a brass band played the film’s The Binary Sunset music – known as Luke Skywalker’s theme – and the order of service read: ‘Master Jack Robinson, joined the force 1st April 2014′.
His father Terence said afterwards: ‘Jack was a special boy, he was unique and brought everyone together. ‘We needed to give him a unique send off, and the brilliant sunshine that came out for it was Jack looking down on us. ‘I will always love you son.’
Jack was also a huge Doctor Who fan and the show’s star, Matt Smith, sent him numerous personal messages from the United States, and sang the Doctor Who theme tune for the boy before he passed away in hospital.
A child should never have to think about, let alone set a theme for, their own funeral.
RIP Jack. May the force be with you.
