Louisiana-native Willie Jones surprised the “X Factor” audience and judges during his first audition. The 17-year-old singer walked on stage looking like the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, wearing an acid-washed denim vest and jeans and a box top Afro, and surprised everyone with his sensational rendition of Josh Turner’s country hit “Your Man.”
The judges’ jaws hit the floor as he belted the hit with a southern country twang. They never expected the edgy-dressed singer to go country and hit every low rumble like a pro. This performance goes to show that you should never judge a book by it’s cover. The judges praised Jones, sending him onto the next round.
“Your voice is a sensational recording voice. This is a day to remember, the first time I heard Willie Jones,” said judge Simon Cowell.
