A Florida woman was livid when her 9-year-old daughter bit into a Pop-Tart, and found a load of maggots. Oddly enough, the snack was not expired. Based on the expiration date of the pastries, the Pop-Tarts were supposed to be edible for another three months, but obviously something went terribly wrong.

Kellog’s has responded by saying that the maggots must have come from a source outside of their control. The Winn Dixie store that the pastries were purchased at has taken some Pop-Tarts off the shelves, but not all of them. Winn Dixie has released a statement claiming that they’re working with Kellog’s to find the source of the infestation.
