You probably don’t really think to clean your dishwasher, it’s supposed to clean everything else after all.

Nevertheless, your dishwasher will become home to mildew and bad odors if it’s not periodically given the good old once over.

In order to make this job easier for you, Jill has a tip that has every home owner thanking her. And it’s simple. All you need is somewhite vinegar and baking soda. Check this one out!

That soap scum, grease, and food bits really add up in your dishwasher. But Jill’s cleaning process removes it very efficiently.

If you haven’t given your dishwasher a good cleaning in six months or so, it’s time to put Jill’s trick to the test.

After removing any blockages from the drain, Jill fills a dishwasher-safe measuring cup with white vinegar. She puts it in the top rack and runs the machine on high heat. Make sure there are no dishes and it completes an entire cycle.

The vinegar loosens the grease and grime as well as sanitizes your dishwasher.

Next reach back into the back bottom and sprinkle around a cup of baking soda. This will freshen it and brighten it. It will remove stains and help sanitize it.

Let it go through another hot cycle.

OPTIONAL: If you’re dealing with mold or mildew, you can add some bleach. But DO NOT do this if you have a stainless steel dishwasher.
Will you clean your dishwasher using this method?
