We’ve seen some incredible things seen onBritain’s Got Talent, home to primetime’s most notorious grouch, Simon Cowell. Be it magic tricks, songwriting, or any other number of traditional or obscure gifts, we’ve seen people from all walks of life share its stage.

Just a couple of days ago we met 12-year-old Maia Gough who performed Whitney Houston’s single “I Have Nothing.” Despite all indication that this tiny little girl didn’t have the chops to execute the range in Houston’s iconic song, she floored both the judges and the audience and was given a standing ovation.

And BGT isn’t just home to incredible singers. Dancing makes frequent debuts on the show in exotic variations. In the video below, dancer Jonathan Lutwyche traveled from Gibraltar to show the judges his fantastic contemporary dance skills. As he takes the stage barefoot in a minimal silk ensemble, the judges appear to raise a wary eyebrow at the prospect of him showing them anything they hadn’t seen before. But as Lutwyche begins to flip and sway, defying gravity with grace and power, the judges are wowed. They quickly begin to realize that their preconceived notions had them cheated. Simon even gives him a head nod and two thumbs up when he finishes his routine.

What did you think of Jonathan’s powerful performance? Let us know in the comments.
