As a woman was in the garage, preparing for a day of household tasks, an unexpected visit from a neighbor’s imposing dog led to a sudden attack on her small white dog. Despite her persistent efforts to separate the two, all attempts proved futile until an unexpected savior arrived on the scene—the family cat.
“Bailey is alive today due to my cat, Mocha. Without a doubt,” Michaella Franklin said.
Mocha intervened, successfully diverting the attention of the larger dog, allowing Bailey to escape unharmed. Unfortunately, the injured dog required extensive surgery to address numerous deep bites, resulting in a substantial veterinary bill totaling $2,000. Nampa Animal Control issued a citation to the owner of the aggressive dog, while Bailey returned home to recuperate with her loyal feline companion by her side.
