3D TVs and movies really seem to be a thing these days, but wouldn’t it be cool if you could get the same effect without using those chunky 3D glasses? These animated pictures below demonstrate how just by adding two white lines through a flat imagine, you get that 3D effect we all love so much.
Here are 12 samples of this cool 3D effect in action, using only a couple of vertical white lines and some background defocus.
Disney’s ‘Brave’.
Jensen Ackles in ‘Supernatural’.
Freddy Krueger really comes to life.
David Tennant as the 10th Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’.
Aww, it’s almost like I can reach out and pet this little puppy.
An exploding scene from ‘The Avengers’.
No Scrat (from the ‘Ice Age’ movies), there are no acorns to be found here.
Ouch! Got my nose!
The quick brown dog jumps over the lazy white lines.
Eek! I won’t be sleeping tonight knowing that thing is out to get me.
I ducked as Captain America’s shield flew towards me.
Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’.
This begs the question, if I paint two lines on my glasses will I see the world in extra-3D?
