The folks over at Household Hacker have come up with a genius list of 10 things your microwave can do – besides heat up leftovers of course! The list ranges from reviving old pastries to disinfecting cutting boards. The microwave is a great device as-is, but now that I know it can be used for all these other purposes I love microwaves even more!
There are even more things your microwave can do that aren’t listed in this video. Lifehacker explains how you can create hard shell taco shells by placing a tortilla into a microwave. The trick is to place it inside of a coffee cup, then place the cup on its side. After cooking for about a minute, the tortilla will be hard and it’ll be the perfect shape for a taco!
