The police know that it’s prime time for thieves so have the perfect tip for those purse carriers with a seriously long shopping list.
Distracted shoppers are the perfect prey for thieves who are just waiting for you to take your eye off your valuables so they can quickly swipe them.
But for some peace of mind when you’re shopping, there is a simple trick that the police are talking about.
Simple protection against thieves
I often rest my bag in the child seat of my cart, not thinking that I’ll leave it unattended but you just never know!
But consider this: Every time you put your handbag in your shopping cart attach it to the child strap with a carabiner clip.
This makes it almost impossible to grab your purse and run off.
Windham, New Hampshire Police Department shared the smart trick on its Facebook page and it was quickly shared as a great tip and reminder for us to be on our guard during this busy festive time.
If you don’t use a cart, the advice is to carry your purse over your shoulder with the bag at the front of your body so you can see it at all times.
