This is such a great way to encourage people to follow the law. Sure, one shouldn’t necessarily be “rewarded” each time they refrain from doing something illegal, but it’s nice to karmically repay a good civilian every now and again. Anything that helps strengthen the bond between a town and its police force is always a good thing.
