A dog named Ginger was surrendered to Apple Valley Animal Shelter in California because her family could no longer take care of her. But Ginger was sad and confused and loved her family so much that she broke through three doors to escape the shelter and hunt them down.
First, she managed to climb out of her kennel.
She then opened two different doors…
…and broke into the lobby. She stood on the counter carefully calculating her next move.
Ginger then broke out of the third and final door.
If it weren’t for the video, no one would believe the incredible escape. I’m still impressed by it!
Ginger was found three days later wandering around her old neighborhood looking for her family. She still needs a forever home, and it’s the shelter’s top priority to find the sweet girl a home to feel safe and secure.
It’s so sad that people can just drop their pets off at a shelter. It’s like they don’t consider the animal’s feelings at all–and this is proof that it’s very hard on a dog. As of posting this, Ginger still needs a forever home, and we’re confident she’ll find the perfect home and be able to forget about all of this.
