Have you ever stayed in a hotel room and wondered what exactly happens when the housekeeper comes in to clean while you step out? One hotel guest decided to set up a hidden camera and secretly tape the maid in his room, revealing what really goes down.
The footage was posted on YouTube by Vince Stravix, who said the incident took place at a well-known hotel chain. Stravix wrote on the YouTube post he wanted to share “that even in a hotel room, someone could rifle through your things without you knowing, so password protect everything you own and keep valuables locked up.”
The video has caused quite an uproar since it was posted online. While the housekeeper doesn’t actually steal anything or do anything criminal, she does pick up Stravix’s laptop, checks out his mail and goes through his suitcase. This isn’t the first time someone has been caught doing something questionable at work, but it definitely raises some questions about hotel safety and security.
Of course, if you don’t want anyone touching your personal belongings, you can always leave out the Do Not Disturb sign.
