A Man and his best friend are reunited after a tragic accident, and the help of a charity. According to the Daily Mail, Army Specialist Henry Alvarado was stationed in Los Angeles when his dog, Dukey, was hit by a car and severely injured. Alvarado was distraught and helpless because he couldn’t afford the vet bills, and was being re-stationed to Alaska — giving him no choice but to leave Dukey behind.
Alvarado thought he’d never see his best friend again. However, Rescue from the Hart Foundation in LA stepped in and raised enough money to not only perform surgery on Dukey, but give him the six weeks of rehabilitation he needed, as described by the Daily Mail.
After Dukey was back on his feet, he was flown all the way up to Alaska; in this video you see him reunited with his loving owner.
