You better watch out, because there’s a crafty, problem solving spider in the world. Instead of spinning any run of the mill web, this spider was ambitious and found ways to make the widest web he could make.
How did he do it? I have no idea. All I know is I’m afraid of this too-smart spider.
According to the photographer, “This spider grabbed a rock, dragged it up to the web, and suspended it from the bottom. Never seen anything like it before and thought it was pretty cool.”
Well, sir, you were correct.
Using the weight of the rock, the bottom of the web stretched to allow for more surface area, i.e., eating area.
Tell me this doesn’t send shivers down your spine.

I can’t look at the rock and not freak out. If this spider is still out there in the world, eating and breeding like a champ, then we’re all in for a world of hurt. Maybe even Planet of the Spiders?!
