Having a car stolen can be one of the most devastating things that can happen to a family. This is particularly true for families who may be living with little left over at the end of the pay cycle. In most cases, stolen cars are never found. If a stolen car is recovered, it has typically been stripped of parts or misused to such a degree that the car is a total loss. That’s why the Peters story is truly unique.

A month after their car was stolen, Chelsea Peters was surprised to see what looked like her SUV in a nearby gas station. Not only did she contact the police, she was daring enough to follow the van and keep an eye on it. To her surprise, it was indeed her car. When the police finally secured it, the found drugs in the center console, but also a surprising happy twist to the story.
