When this stray dog was found, his fur had matted to the point that he was barely recognizable. With some TLC and a hair cut, he undergoes an incredible transformation that is heartwarming, to say the very least. It’s amazing how resilient dogs are, and this little guy is a true testament to the incredible way in which our furry friends can bounce back from even the worst of situations!

The Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals found this little pup starving and homeless, and it’s heartbreaking to think that nobody came to his aid sooner. The state of his fur is absolutely atrocious; when dog hair gets matted to this point, it often tugs at the dog’s skin, leaving the animal in perpetual discomfort. I can’t help but wonder: how many people saw this suffering dog and did nothing about it? Was it simply because he wasn’t cute enough? How could his fur get so bad?

There are too many homeless, suffering animals in our world to turn a blind eye. As the video asks, if you see a stray, especially a stray in need of help, don’t hesitate to call your local ASPCA or Humane Society! As evidenced by the dog in the video below, sometimes all a stray really needs is a bath, a hair cut, and a few good meals to be ready for a loving home.

What did you think of this dog’s transformation? Have you ever seen a case of matted fur that was anything like his? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
