She’s only 16 years old, but holy cow, can this girl sing!
We’ve definitely seen our fair share of talented teens here at LittleThings, but not all of them can carry a note and write their own music.
When Ella Henderson of Tetney, England first stepped on to The X Factor UK‘s stage she fell victim to the judges’ all-too-quick judgment. However, as soon as she began to sing the song she wrote for her music mentor and hero, her grandfather, took them all by surprise.
She might be really young, but there’s no denying that she has more than just real, raw talent. Ella truly understands that you need more than just looks and a good voice. She’s a real deal entertainer and this next video proves it!
In the following performance, the judges are weary again when Ella says she chose the powerful song “Believe,” made famous by Cher in 1998. It takes a brave singer to take on a song like this, but Ella successfully her put own twist on it and knocked it out of the park.
Her performance was so emotional, she even brought one of the judges to tears with her soulful interpretation. Since the audience gave her a standing ovation, I think it’s clear that they loved it, too.
