Ronan and Emma Lally were living out their dreams when they turned their Irish home into a working farm. Although they had almost every animal they could handle, one thing was missing: ducks!
Soon the two ordered a few duck eggs and when the day came for them to hatch the pair were more than excited. When Ronan went to check on the eggs, they were gone and the couple feared the worst since their farm cat Della went missing as well.
The husband and wife team said they feared that Della attacked and probably killed the newborns. But lucky for them, and the ducks, that couldn’t have been further from the truth.
They discovered the Della, who had just given birth to her own kittens just hours beforehand, had taken in the ducklings and was treating them as her own!
