Some years ago, during a trip to New England, Elaine Walker stumbled upon the work of Jay Shafer for the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. The Tumbleweed team is made up of veteran builders and real estate agents who built their first tiny home in 1999 and haven’t slowed since. So after Elaine caught a glimpse of their work, she put her bigger home on the market in search for a plot of land to house a little home. She ended up in California along the Sacramento River, before relocating to another small house in Vallejo. Her love for small homes certainly rubbed off on her daughter, Elizabeth, who now lives in the same space her mother once lived in after moving it across the country to Florida.

From the outside, Elizabeth’s home looks small and seems as if the inside would be chock-full of appliances and miscellaneous things that a home needs. But when she gives the grand tour, she shows off a clean, organized space that utilizes every nook and cranny available. This type of home is best suited for someone who lives a simplistic, minimalistic lifestyle. While it may not be for everyone, it sure looks cozy.
Check out the video to get the full tour of Elizabeth’s home and see why she fell in love with the place. What did you think? Would you consider living in a home like that?
