So when Travis was approached by a young boy who was eager to buy his very own frozen custard treat but didn’t have enough money, he stepped in to do something sweet! Now his small moment of kindness is garnering attention all over the Internet.
The young boy approached Travis, who was working at the cash register, and tried to count out the money for the mini mint Oreo custard. After nervously counting in front of Travis, he handed over the wad of cash and waited to see if it would be enough. Unfortunately, the boy was roughly two dollars short. Instead of turning the boy away, Travis reached into his own pocket and pulled out his credit card. He paid for the treat on his own, despite making minimum wage and saving up for nursing school! But the kindness didn’t stop there….
Minutes after serving the boy his delicious frozen treat, the boy approached the counter again. This time he slid a note to Travis and walked away with his mother! Travis opened the note and discovered that the boy’s mother wrote “Thank you for being so nice and paying for my custard. We need more people like you.” In addition to the kind words, the mother also included a $100 tip! Travis was over the moon with excitement and said that he was just trying to do the right thing.
