Finding wisdoms or pieces of advice that you will hold onto for the rest of your life is a rare occurrence. I can still remember some of the wisest words that were ever spoken to me, and they were from my grandmother over 15 years ago. The truly great nuggets of wisdom aren’t spoken every day (at least, you won’t hear them). That’s why this Redditthread is so cool.
Complete strangers came together to share the “wisest thing anyone has ever told you.” The results were fantastic.

“Remember, you’re just a walk on part in everyone else’s play.” -My dad. It taught me to be humble, to respect that my POV isn’t the only/right one and as a bonus – when I really feel socially awkward, I take comfort in knowing that I probably wasn’t noticed as much as I thought I was.
