One of the reasons I love thrift shopping is that it’s almost like the hunt for rare treasure. You go out, hoping to find a golden needle in that stack of mundane pieces of hay. It’s an amazing feeling when you find something great or rare.

A woman in Colorado found the ultimate treasure while thrift shopping, but it wasn’t a piece of beautiful furniture. Hidden inside a record sleeve, this shopper found a love letter from World War II, written almost 70 years ago.

Amazingly, the author of the love letter was not far away. When he’s reunited with the letter, Bill Moore lets loose a flood of emotion. It’s quite hard to watch his reaction without having tears well up in your eyes.
