To Nice or Tunis? That’s the mix-up.
American TikTok creator Brittney Dzialo is going viral after accidentally boarding a flight to Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, instead of her intended destination — Nice, France.
In her widely viewed TikTok posted yesterday, Dzialo and her friend can be seen getting on a Tunisair flight from Rome (FCO) to Tunis (TUN).
They laughed at first when someone on board mentioned they were headed to Tunis — until reality hit: their planned European vacation was actually taking them to North Africa.
“Is this going to Nice?” one of the women asked another passenger. “Tunis, yeah,” came the reply — a simple mix-up that perfectly illustrates how easily the travelers confused two very different destinations.
The two women nervously giggled and quickly Googled the location of Tunis.
They then showed a flight attendant on an iPhone Maps app, asking if the plane was actually headed to Nice, France. She responded bluntly, “No.”
Pointing to their tickets, she revealed the mix-up: the destination clearly read “Tunis” instead of Nice, exactly as they must have requested — or miscommunicated.

They then asked another passenger where Tunisia was, to which she replied, “North Africa,” as the two nervously laughed and pulled up maps on their phones.
In a follow-up TikTok, Dzialo added white text over the video: “The airline employee misheard us and booked us a flight to TUNISIA, AFRICA instead of Nice, France.”
At one point, they even tried to leave their seats, but the crew persuaded them to stay, promising that they could catch a flight to Nice “later, later, you change the plane.”
The problem? They didn’t actually have a ticket to Nice — so they reluctantly stayed put.
Dzialo captioned the video: “The whole plane witnessed our spiral and either found it entertaining or hated us.”

An American TikTok creator is going viral after accidentally flying to Tunis — yes, Tunisia — instead of Nice on the French Riviera.
After a series of panicked conversations and back-and-forth with flight attendants, the friends finally reached their intended destination.
Dzialo captured her friend stepping off the plane in Nice, telling her followers, “Y’all, we made it.”

Some commenters tried to see the lighter side. “Honestly, of alllllll the places in Africa you could have ended up, Tunis is actually pretty close to Nice,” one wrote.
Others were less forgiving. “You should be embarrassed at how many things you didn’t check to catch this earlier,” one scolded, while another added, “The laughing and giggling would make me irrationally angry.”
Many piled on as well. “This pmo ‘cause y’all being loud and obnoxious,” one fumed, while another bluntly asked, “Did no one read the sign AT THE GATE???”
Apparently, they’re not the only travelers who’ve recently bungled their boarding passes.

Apparently, many travelers have been mixing up their flights lately — boarding-pass blunders seem to be trending
As The Post previously reported, TikTok friends Lynne Mazouz and Kira Smith believed they’d booked a flight to San Jose, Costa Rica — only to end up in San Jose, California.
In a scene reminiscent of Home Alone, The Post also reported that 6-year-old Casper Ramos was accidentally put on the wrong Spirit Airlines flight in 2023, ending up hundreds of miles away from his intended Florida destination.
From Nice to Tunis, and Costa Rica to California, one lesson seems clear: the first rule of travel is always double-check your geography before takeoff.
