It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of legend Joan Rivers.

Back in February 2013, legendary comedian Joan Rivers sat down to candidly discuss the mother-daughter relationship she has with her only child, Melissa, and the regrets that any mother has after the passing of a parent. This is a side of the Hollywood star that hardly grabs the media spotlight since she is known for her over-the-top standup routines and uncensored interviews on the red carpet.

Before she passed, Rivers, 81, remained on life-support at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City after she went into cardiac arrest during throat surgery. The host of “Fashion Police” is in serious condition and doctors are expected to evaluate any brain damage after she comes out of a medically induced coma.

We found this interview in which she opens up about life as a mother and the lessons she learned when her own mother passed away. Her words are something that every mother can relate to and is a testament to the amazing relationship she had with Melissa.

Rest in peace, Joan. Please SHARE this video with your friends.
