Meghan Markle paid an unexpected visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Thursday, just one week after Netflix ended its partnership with her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The hospital shared the moment on Instagram, posting photos of the Duchess of Sussex interacting with several young patients.
In the snapshots, Markle, wearing a black face mask, could be seen sitting alongside one of the children, bringing smiles to those around her.

The mother of two also participated in a painting session with patients and hospital staff. For the visit, Markle, 44, wore a white shirt and pants paired with a beige sweater.
“Today we were honored to welcome LA’s own @meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA’s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting alongside our incredible patients,” the hospital wrote on Instagram.
The Duchess of Sussex also took part in a painting session at the hospital. “These special moments are a reminder of how powerful creativity can be in fostering joy, connection, and healing,” the hospital’s Instagram post read.
CHLA explained that Markle’s visit was part of Make March Matter, their month-long fundraising campaign supporting the lifesaving care, research, and innovation that takes place at the hospital every day.
Markle previously visited Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2024, participating in a Literally Healing session, a reading program that provides more than 65,000 books annually to families. “Children were laughing and singing as The Duchess brought each character to life while reading patient favorites like Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat, and I Saw a Cat,” the hospital said at the time.

Last Friday, Page Six exclusively reported that Netflix ended its partnership with Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever. “Her show did not go on, so it did not make sense to continue the partnership,” an industry source told Page Six, referring to her series With Love, Meghan.
A Netflix spokesperson added, “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life.”
An As Ever representative told Page Six that the company “is now ready to stand on its own” and has “an exciting year ahead.”
An industry source told Page Six that “it did not make sense to continue the partnership” (Markle is pictured above in her series With Love, Meghan).
Following the Netflix controversy, Markle is set to headline a luxury women’s retreat in Australia this April, which has drawn criticism for its high ticket prices. VIP attendees will pay $2,288, while Early Bird tickets are priced at $1,930.
The retreat will coincide with Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming Australian tour, during which the couple will participate in several private, business, and philanthropic engagements.
