Netflix has officially ended its partnership with Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, Page Six confirms.

An industry insider explained exclusively to Page Six, “Her show did not go on, so it did not make sense to continue the partnership,” referencing Markle’s two-season series, With Love, Meghan.

A Netflix spokesperson added, “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life.”

An industry source told Page Six that continuing the partnership “did not make sense” for Netflix.

The statement added, “As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the As Ever brand independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.”

A source close to the matter confirmed it was always the plan for As Ever to stand on its “own two feet,” noting that Netflix and the duchess will maintain a mutually supportive relationship. “We can expect to see seasonal specials of With Love, Meghan,” the source said.

An As Ever spokesperson told Page Six, “We are grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year.”

An As Ever spokesperson told Page Six that the lifestyle brand is “now ready to stand on its own.”

“We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth, and As Ever is now ready to stand independently,” the spokesperson said. “We have an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to share more.”

Markle, 44, and Prince Harry secured a $100 million deal with Netflix after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Under the contract, they released multiple projects, including the 2023 hit documentary Harry & Meghan.

However, their Polo documentary and With Love, Meghan failed to gain traction. The latter series, which promoted Markle’s As Ever products, was not renewed for a third season amid declining ratings, Page Six previously confirmed.

Last August, Page Six reported that the couple had extended their Netflix partnership, though for a significantly smaller amount than their original multimillion-dollar deal.

Under the updated agreement, the Sussexes had multiple projects in development, including adaptations of Carley Fortune’s bestselling book Meet Me at the Lake and Jasmine Guillory’s romantic novel The Wedding Date. Netflix reportedly paid around $3 million for the rights to Meet Me at the Lake.

However, Page Six learned that both projects remain stalled, putting the entire deal at risk. “Three years in development for a movie like this at Netflix isn’t good,” a Hollywood insider said.

Markle and Prince Harry also released a tell-all documentary with Netflix, which became a ratings hit.

In addition, their documentary Cookie Queens, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, has yet to secure a distributor or streaming platform.

As reported last month, Netflix’s Los Angeles office was stocked with numerous As Ever products, including jars of jam, candles, wine, and Markle’s signature flower petal sprinkles.

Despite the surplus, a source confirmed that As Ever is selling rapidly, with an estimated 87 percent of its one-million-unit jam order already purchased. Analysts estimate that Markle has earned over $36 million from that product alone.
