The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law.”
The source added, “When planning the wedding, they were clear they were already secretly married. There was no application for a wedding license because it wasn’t required. Whatever happens at the wedding on Friday won’t be a legal ceremony under Italian law; any vows or rings exchanged will have no legal meaning.”
It was also confirmed that Bezos and Sánchez — who met while both were married to other people — had signed a prenuptial agreement to protect Bezos’s $244 billion fortune.
