El Arroyo is a Tex-Mex restaurant located in downtown Austin, Texas, that is famous in the local area for two things: their food and their hilariously witty sign.
Each day, co-owner Ellis Winstanley and his team think of creative and clever phrases to put up on the sign. The sign often reflects current events, pop culture, but sometimes they’re just plain funny sayings. In fact, the sign and its sayings have gained so much traction online that El Arroyo created a specific Instagram account just for it. The account has over 36,000 followers.
