A viral video captured the moment a California high school classroom erupted into chaos after a disruptive student punched a teacher — only to be body-slammed moments later by a staff member.
The clip, which was posted to social media on Tuesday, shows the tense confrontation between the unnamed student and a male staffer inside the Lincoln High School gym.

As the teacher turned and began to walk away, the student threw a few punches before another staff member stepped in to guide him toward the doorway — prompting the student to aggressively strike the staffer, according to the clip.
As they moved through the closing gym doors, a school resource officer charged in and body-slammed the student to the floor, causing students in the bleachers to leap to their feet in shock.
The Western Placer Unified School District confirmed the incident and said the student is facing disciplinary action, TMZ reported.
“The safety and well-being of students and staff remain the highest priority for Lincoln High School and the Western Placer Unified School District. The behavior displayed in this incident does not reflect the values of respect, responsibility, and kindness that the District upholds, and actions of this nature are not acceptable at any school,” the district said in a statement to the outlet.
Social media users have since debated whether the staffer’s forceful intervention was justified.
“One commenter said, ‘The officer should be sued. There are amicable ways to do this.’”
Another user remarked, “Someone’s parent is on the way after seeing this video lol.”
It remains unclear whether the staff member will face disciplinary action.
